In the spring of 2019, Perkins Roofing was entrusted with the task of replacing the roof of a commercial building located just outside downtown Fort Lauderdale. The building, a former school, featured a dated gravel roof and a rare tectum roof deck, presenting unique challenges that our team was well-equipped to address.
Collaborating closely with HVAC contractors, Perkins Roofing embarked on the meticulous process of tearing off the building’s old roof and replacing it with a modern solution. For this commercial building, we installed a GAF EverGuard Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) 60-mil membrane system, ensuring durability and longevity.
Despite the complexities of the project, Perkins Roofing completed the roof replacement swiftly, with a project time span of just 10 work days. The building owner’s goal of repairing and replacing the roof and air conditioning systems to attract new tenants and maintain cash flow into the property was successfully achieved with our assistance.
