Coral Gables Historic Residential Re-Roof

A homeowner in Coral Gables’ historic district entrusted Perkins Roofing Corp. with the re-roofing of their cherished residence. This historic structure, nestled in the heart of Coral Gables, required meticulous attention to detail, special permitting, and approval from the HOA board before construction could commence. The two-story home, accompanied by a guesthouse, posed unique challenges that our team expertly navigated.

Working closely with the homeowner, Perkins Roofing selected Alhambra handmade clay barrel tiles to complement the home’s architectural style while ensuring optimal protection with the Polystick TU Plus tile underlayment system from Polyglass®. Our experienced roof technicians faced special circumstances, including working with an open beam ceiling, which necessitated the use of shorter nails to avoid showing through the wood deck. Additionally, limited access to a dumpster required innovative solutions for removing debris from the roof.

The newly completed Coral Gables re-roof is backed by a Perkins Roofing 10-year warranty and a 20-year Polyglass warranty for materials, providing the homeowner with peace of mind for years to come.
